"So what do I actually get for that price?" It's one of the most common questions we get on the phone, usually right after somebody has scrolled through four rental sites and found four different ways of quoting the same thing. One company lists 99 dollars. Another lists 175. It's hard to tell what's a deal and what's a setup fee waiting to happen.
Here's the plain version of what a bounce house rental in metro Atlanta should include, what you're expected to handle on your end, and the stuff that quietly gets tacked on later if you don't ask.
The short answer: they bring it, set it up, and take it away
A full-service rental means you're not touching the inflatable. At Party Lab, every rental includes delivery to your address, full setup, secure anchoring, a safety walkthrough with you, and teardown after the party. We usually show up 60 to 90 minutes before your guests, so the unit is up and inflated well before the first car pulls into the driveway.
All of that is in the price for anywhere inside our service area, which runs 35 miles out from our Conyers studio. That covers most of metro Atlanta, from Decatur and Stone Mountain out through Marietta, Roswell, Duluth, and plenty of spots in between. If your address sits past that line, just ask and we'll quote it instead of surprising you at the end.
What the day rate really means
Rentals start at 150 dollars a day for The Sundae, The Atrium, and RampageZone. The Marigold, our castle combo, is 180. Those numbers include delivery, setup, and teardown. No weekend surcharge, no holiday pricing.
Worth knowing: rentals here are priced by the day, not by the hour. A three-hour birthday party and a six-hour block party cost the same. So if your kid's party runs from noon to three but grandparents are hanging around until six, nobody's watching a clock and charging you for it.
If you want a wider look at what different types of inflatables run across Atlanta, we broke the whole thing down in our bounce house rental cost guide, including the ads you'll see for 75 or 99 dollar rentals and why those often aren't the bargain they look like.
Anchoring, which depends on your surface
Anchoring is included, but the method changes with what you're setting up on. Grass is ideal, since stakes drive straight into the ground. We also set up on artificial turf, concrete patios, asphalt driveways, and most indoor venues, which needs different equipment entirely.
That's why we ask about your surface during booking. It isn't a formality. If we show up expecting a grass yard and find a concrete slab, we need gear we didn't bring. Red clay after a rainy week behaves differently than dry clay in September, too, so a quick heads up about your yard helps more than people realize.
Space matters here as well. The Atrium, our smallest, needs about 14 by 14 feet of clear space. RampageZone, the biggest, wants roughly 37 by 16 feet. If you're not sure your yard works, our space requirements guide walks through measuring, clearance, and the overhead stuff people forget about, like low branches and power lines.
Cleaning, inspection, and insurance
This part doesn't show up on a price list, and it's the part that separates a real rental company from a guy with a van.
Every piece of ours is deep-cleaned and sanitized before it reaches your yard. Each unit is professionally inspected once a year and checked again before each rental. Party Lab carries general liability insurance, and if you're booking for a school, church, or park that wants a certificate of insurance on file, we can provide the documentation venues typically ask for. Parks and private venues just need approval from the venue ahead of time, and we'll help you coordinate that.
Ask any company you're considering about these three things. If the answer gets vague, that's your answer. We wrote up more on vetting a rental company in our post on choosing a trustworthy bounce house rental.
What you provide
Short list, but worth planning for:
- Power. A standard outdoor outlet within about 100 feet of where the unit sits. The blower runs the entire time kids are jumping, so this isn't optional. Most Atlanta backyards already have what's needed. If yours doesn't, or your event is at a park pavilion or a church lot, say so at booking and we'll work out the power ahead of time.
- A clear, mostly level spot. Move the trampoline, the patio furniture, the dog's water bowl. Clear space means clear, including a few feet of walkaround room.
- A garden hose, if you're renting wet. Water slides hook up to your spigot.
- An adult watching. Setup and safety are on us. Supervision during the party is on you. One grown-up with eyes on the unit, and capacity rules followed. The Marigold holds up to 8 kids at a time, The Sundae up to 10, and we go over the numbers for every piece during the walkthrough.
Weather, deposits, and the booking window
We take a deposit to hold your date, and full details get shared during booking so there's nothing fuzzy about it.
Georgia weather being what it is, the rain policy matters. You can reschedule or convert to studio credit up to 24 hours before delivery with no fees. We watch the radar right along with you. A light drizzle is usually manageable. A thunderstorm is a reschedule, no debate. We also don't operate inflatables when sustained winds go over 20 mph, which comes up more often in spring than people expect.
On timing: for a Saturday between March and October, book 4 to 6 weeks out. Weekday and Sunday dates can often be arranged with 1 to 2 weeks' notice. Fall weekends around church festivals and school events get tight fast, so earlier is better if your date is already set.
Check your date
If you've got questions we didn't cover here, our FAQ page runs through surfaces, indoor setups, service area, and pricing in more detail. Or skip the reading and just ask us.
Call (404) 480-2645 or reach out through our contact page with your date, your zip code, and roughly how big your yard is. We reply the same day during studio hours and confirm availability within the hour on business days.
Frequently asked questions
Is delivery included in a bounce house rental in Atlanta?
With us, yes. Delivery, setup, and teardown are included for any address inside our 35-mile service zone around Conyers. Outside that zone, reach out and we'll quote it. Not every company works that way, so ask before you book.
Do I have to set the bounce house up myself?
No. Every rental includes full setup and anchoring, and we usually arrive 60 to 90 minutes before your guests. We do a safety walkthrough with you, then come back after the party to tear it down and haul it out.
How long do I get to keep the inflatable?
Rentals are priced by the day, not by the hour, so a three-hour party and a six-hour party cost the same. Rentals start at 150 dollars a day, and The Marigold is 180.
Do I need to provide power for the bounce house?
You need a standard outdoor outlet within about 100 feet of where the unit will sit. That covers most Atlanta backyards. If your yard doesn't have one, or your event is at a park or church lot, tell us when you book and we'll sort the power side out ahead of time.
What happens if it rains on my party day?
You can reschedule or move to studio credit up to 24 hours before delivery, no fees and no questions. Light drizzle is usually fine. Thunderstorms are a reschedule, and we don't run inflatables when sustained winds go over 20 mph.
Is the inflatable insured and cleaned between rentals?
Yes. Party Lab carries general liability insurance, every piece is professionally inspected once a year and checked again before each rental, and each unit is deep-cleaned and sanitized before it reaches your yard.
